Abdirahman Chirango is from Migwa, Somalia. He fled his country when he was six years old as the civil war ravaged his community and took his mother’s life.  He spent the next 14 years in a refugee camp in Kenya before he was resettled in Tucson in 2005. Since then he graduated from the University of Arizona in 2014 and now he runs an African store with his extended family members. Abdi understands the importance of having a place for people who were forced to flee their homes to be able to get everyday products and goods from their homelands. He hopes to expand his business and become a better businessman to be able to help as many people as he can in the community.
