Imad Rasheed is from Baghdad, Iraq. In 2006, he fled his country when the war engulfed  his city. Before the war, he was a professor at the University of Baghdad where he taught botany and herbal medicine. He was a highly respected herbalist in his community. Imad left Iraq in fear of his life after his colleague and friend was killed. He spent two years in Amman, Jordan, where he hosted a television show about the benefits
of various kinds of common plants and herbs. He resettled in Tucson in 2008. Even today he helps those who seek his advice in treating various ailments.
